Referencing Style Guide: Published conference proceedings

Published Proceedings of Meetings, Conference and Symposia - Reference List

Conference sessions and presentations include paper presentations, poster sessions, keynote addresses and symposium contributions. After the title  of the conference in italics, include in square brackets how the conference was presented, e.g. [Conference session], [Paper presentation], [Poster presentation] or [Symposium]. 

Use the template below to construct the reference.

Presenter, A., & Presenter, B. (YYYY, Month, dd-dd).  Title of contribution [Type of contribution]. Conference Name, Location. DOI or URL

Maddox, S., Hurling, J., Stewart, E., & Edwards, A. (2016, March 30–April 2). If mama ain't happy, nobody's happy: The effect of parental depression on mood dysregulation in children [Paper presentation]. Conference proceedings published in a journal or book follow the same format as for a journal article, edited book, or edited book chapter.
